Dance and Drum for Beginners – Afro Style
WHEN:
11am to 3.30pm (4.5 hrs)
DESCRIPTION:
Join us for an absolute beginners African Dance session, then learn the accompanying Djembe Drum Rhythm.
This will be an easy physical day, a much slower version of the incredible athleticism required for typical African movement.
You will also be part of the live drumming to accompany the dance. Drum Hire extra.
WHAT:
Half-Day Dance and Drum – 4.5hrs

DETAILS:
– DANCE – for ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS – this will be slowed down, funky versions of the usually frenetic African dance moves.
– DRUMMING – Pitched at Beginners to Intermediate Drummers (BYO Drum or Hire one of ours)
TIME:
2 x 2 hour sessions (with 30mins lunch break).
11am to 3.30pm – Absolute Beginners DANCE.
11am – DANCE
1.30pm – DRUM (That will be combined with the earlier dance)
